DELTA GLOBAL DEVELOPES A JUBILANT CENTREPIECE FOR FORTNUM & MASON
Iconic luxury British department store Fortnum & Mason was founded in 1707 by William Fortnum and Hugh Mason and is renowned for its exceptional food and drink, beautifully curated hampers, and distinctive gifts.
With a rich heritage that resonates with aspirational customers across the globe, the brand holds multiple Royal Warrants and has proudly served the British royal family for centuries. Fortnum & Mason remains a symbol of British luxury, artfully blending tradition with modern tastes across both its products and experiences.
A partnership that began over a decade ago, Delta Global proudly supplies Fortnum & Mason’s iconic retail and gifting packaging. The brand continues to turn to Delta Global for their most limited-edition, showstopping, and celebratory projects - where quality, innovation, and theatre are paramount.
To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, Fortnum & Mason Hong Kong envisioned a jubilant and sustainable gift that would theatrically present mooncakes and tea caddies. With sustainability at its core, the solution needed to be fully recyclable, easily transportable, and designed with a purposeful second life.
Delta Global developed a sustainably crafted celebration piece that unites tradition, innovation, and elegance. The construction is secured with a Japanese locking mechanism that has an intricate woven paper chord which eliminates the need for magnets while doubling as a handle, enhancing both functionality and visual refinement.
Externally finished in Fortnum’s iconic ‘Eau De Nil’, the box opens to reveal a bold internal contrast: vibrant orange compartments echoing the brand’s signature accent colour. At its heart lies a sculpted mooncake stand, crafted entirely from FSC®-certified paper. Designed for reuse, this centrepiece celebrates the spirit of togetherness and sharing that defines the festival.
Plastic-free, magnet-free, and printed using only water-based inks, every element of the design is fully recyclable and compostable, including the use of paper-based textiles. With a thoughtful secondary use and portability built in, the gift box is as sustainable as it is symbolic - a luxurious yet conscientious keepsake rooted in heritage and crafted for future impact.
